The World and Religion

Hmm, if anyone actually reads this it will probably get me yelled at, but who cares :P

Wouldn't the world be simpler without religion? I mean, honestly you have a religious war in Iraq and Afghanistan, you have a Darwin-vs.-Genesis battle going on where some schools don't teach evolutionary theory because it goes against the bible. In the past you had the Crusades, where tens of thousands of people were killed "in the name of Christianity".

Now, the world religions/religious leaders need to get a grip. At the heart of it, there is no good reason to prevent teachings or blow each other up because of religion. Either become accepting, or just go away. The world does not need religion-it just provides comfort for people. Myself being an atheist, I really don't care about what you believe, but sometimes religious people are just stupid...

Have any of you guys considered why your religion is automatically right? I mean, sure, the Church can say that the Bible is unable to be wrong on moral terms, but why?
"God said so."
Well, what makes God the supreme, all-knowing badass he's made out to be?
"He is utterly beyond human comprehension, foolish blogger."
So then why does he make mistakes? Unless he wanted to cause the deaths of tens of thousands through the crusades, kill his own son, know that Noah was going to have to make the Ark, etc.
"God's will is greater than we can make it out to be." Okaaaay, that still doesn't change the fact that God killed more people than the evil Satan, according to the Bible.

Soo, endpoint after a long and winding first post-
Religions, take a hike or be more open. The world doesn't need religious rah-rah wars in addition to the rest of the crap that's going on
